All of Dr Strap chaise lounges are manufactured using the sled base design. This configuration produces a much greater stability factor for balance and distribution of the weight applied to the chaise lounge. The two "roll bent" cross braces on the backrest and the underside of the patio chaise lounge bed are essential to keep the side rails from bending inward and absorbing the spring action of the lounge created by the user when it is in use.
